Around the age of 15, I began to put into words moments that were too unique. As I experienced heartbreak in all its macabre glory and love in its purest form, I penciled in pieces of me onto paper. After my biggest and most ‘adult’ heartbreak at the age of 21, I decided to take these writings from my adolescence into young adulthood and create a collection of writings.
In Letting Love, Letting Hurt, & Letting Go, I want readers to see the beauty in falling in these three distinct stages of being in love. The heartbreak is not for nothing, and there is growth that always comes at the end of a love story. One never leaves love empty-handed.
So, to all the lovers whose eyes I never got to meet again: this collection of poetry and writings has followed me through the newness of falling in love, the debilitating pain of welcoming heartbreak, the empowering feeling of learning to heal all on my own, and, finally, letting you go.
Available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and The Book Table in Oak Park, IL.
